Bubba Gump, The Curve

"You've always got to put the past behind you before you can move on" . That's my favorite movie quote by Forrest Gump because in some way it relates me and people surrounding me.

Me and Rajapati had always planned to try out at Bubba Gump since our last semester, but we never made it because we are so far away in Melaka during the semester and now finally it's our semester break. That means we can show off our fork and spoon and knife skill ( not knife skill on COD4 ya ) on dining table and we're back in KL. Yeay!

It started with a little discussion on where to eat. After a while we both agreed to have our next stomach-full experience at Bubba Gump, The Curve. When we reach there, it was full house; no more table left. Rajapati had to write down his name in the waiting list. Made our brisk walk around half an hour till we got a phone call from the friendly staff of Bubba Gump.

We were seated under the shack and what i found out is that the ergonometric is pretty much sucks. The placement between the table and the seat is way too close and it kinda minimise your movements ( this will only occur to those who seat under the shack , other place will do just fine ).

We were asked if this is our first time here and were given brief introduction about Bubba Gump. The guy who entertained us is so friendly and he obviously is not local. He talks alot about the movie which is Forest Gump, but the thing is we could barely understand what he says. Its like quarter english mixed with other different language. We nodded most of the times though we only understand tiny bit.

After flipping through the menu, Rajapati decided to have the well-known dish Bourbon Street Baramudi which is cost RM29.90 and for me, i ordered Shrimp Po' Boy for RM24.90 . For drinks, i ordered Jenny's Favorite(RM10.90) and Choc Chip Cookie Sundae (RM13.90) for desert. The Bourbon Street Baramudi is quite delicious as i love the sauce but as for the Shrimp Po'Boy, i find it quite turn off . Its just a fried shrimp covered with flour which i find it a bit salty served with bread and fries and some veggies. But different people, different taste. :)

Blog for your self or blog for the viewers?

This is how it started....

Me and my rajapati had an argument regarding whether you blog for yourself or you blog for the viewers. And he quoted...

I dont actually understand why people blog about their own personal life. I mean, you know there will be someone out there who is going to read your blog. For me, blogging is for you to express on how you think about certain issues and share them with the others.

When he said that, my inner side said to my head, ''well i did blog about my life, man... he's mocking me. wtf''. Lol.I dont take that personally but seriously, if you're blogging just for the sake for other peoples to read, wouldn't it will make you look dishonest to yourself? As for me, i blogged on things that affected me in any ways. My blog may sounds stupid and people probably won't read my blog anyways but hey.. i blog for myself mostly. I blog because I want to look back at myself when I'm older. I want to know how i feel when i was young, how i acted and yada yada yada.. So in the future, i will be able to laugh at my self doing those things that i did.

Keeping a real journal is very hard for me. I barely stick my self together ( thank god Allah created us with a body that you wont be able to take off any part of it and attach it back. If not, you'll probably see me walking without an eye or hand :phew: ) So, having a blog is a yes yes for me. :D So if u ask me, do you blog for yourself or you blog for the viewers? The answer is,I blog for my self and for others to share it with me.

Whatever course you might think, it would be good to note that in the end, your blog is for yourself. Eventho if you are writing for your viewers, the reason you'd do that is for them to read and interact with what is yours. Either way, it would be a self-centered reason. :)

p.s: i gotta share this video. man, it's funny !have to watch till the end yeah.

Where to eat in Melaka?

It can be frustrating sometimes to decide where do you want to eat here in Melaka. Being here for about a year.... it bleeds me each and every time when we trying to decide where should we go for a meal especially in the middle of a night. Here are some makan places that i usually go to...

Around Bukit Beruang

Sweet Gallery ( Nasi Lemak )

- near UG and BBP . I'm sure you guys very familiar with the place kan? A must try item is the nasi goreng indonesia/thai. But i prefer nasi putih + ayam gulai. Yum~ A bit pricey though. It will cost you RM3.80 just for the plain white rice and ayam gulai.

Gizmo
- same row as Sweet Gallery. They serves very unique name of drinks eg. bloody mary; which is soda with red syrup underneath, spanar; fresh orange juice with soda. The baked pasta is a MUST try. It's RM12.00,but the portion is quite big for one person. Worth the price ;)

Enak Tom Yam
- This the the place for you to dine when your pocket is under budget. Located beside US Pizza and NZ shop.Nasi Goreng Ayam is quite famous. But for me, i usually order nasi goreng cili padi and its RM2.50. Cheap kan? :D

Kedai Mak Cik ( Wimiri )
- enough said. -_-''

Impiana
- located in Taman Bunga Raya. Near the new infasha's (Im not sure what its name). Nasi Ayam kat Impiana sangat famous. So you should try it out yourself. As for me, im down with bayam masak lemak. Pelik kan? Tak penah jumpe this kind of dish. Tapi memang sedap. Cheaper if compared to Kedai Makcik. A LOT CHEAPER.



OUTSIDE BUKIT BERUANG

Lot 85.
- Near Bukit Serindit. Pricing a bit similar if you're in KL. But asam pedas dia.... omg~ yum yum. They even serves tetel asam pedas ok? ( tetel = a part of daging lembu mix with a bit of lemak :P ) But mostly ill have i nasi putih + ayam goreng berempah + kuah asam pedas + veggies = RM 4-5. Depends. And they only open for lunch. So be quick coz the food cepat abis. Around 3 je dah abis lauk.

Kedai Kenanga
- Near Penjara Melaka and exactly opposite of Newton foodcourt and bersebelahan dengan asam pedas power (penjara; since ade 2 kedai asam pedas power). A MUST TRY = nasi goreng. Yes! just normal nasi goreng. Tapi... sangat sedap. RM3.20. The satay also a must try. Satay daging to be exact. :) This one...recommended by me. 2 thumbs up for the satay.

Kedai makan depan penjara ( it's a chinese shop by day i think )
- Dont worry. They dont serve pork. Auntie tuh cuma buat air je. The foods ade abg melayu yg masak infront of the shop. The shop betul² depan penjara nyer entrance and the same row as Kedai kenanga. They also serves the best nasi goreng in town. But this one, with beefstick. Hehe i dont how to spell it. :P Price RM 4++ for the nasi and the beefsticks. Cheap ok? Super cheap. :D

D'nangka
- Located in Bukit Katil. Most of MMUrians must at least pergi kedai nie once in their life time bile blaja kat Melaka :P. Even my so called first date when i first reached melaka pun dia bawak gie sini. LAME -_-". Not much to highlight sebab most of the dish same mcm others kedai tom yam. But one specialty, they have Bai Ka Pau here!!!!! Which is the most hard dish to be found! Kat Kl pun susah nak cari yang betul² sedap. Ade pun kat SS14 PJ je. heheheh. The price... normal price. Around RM4. That one, is A MUST TRY!

D'cherri
- Its along side dengan D'nangka nyer jalan. But much more terpelusuk. From the JPJ junction, you will find a driving school. There will be a small road ( not too small :P) on the left. Take left, then go straight. Its near Sekolah Teknik Bukit Katil. The food is very exotic. They have Coliseum; nasi goreng serves with black pepper sauce ( chicken/ beef), Mee Bercacun; which is VERY VERY spicy mee, and the most delicious dish it got to be SADAM DELIGHT. Sangat sangat sangat sangat sedap. When it's too delicious, who gives a damn about the price right? Well, it's only RM 3 something :D

Friends Cafe
- Im sure you guys know this cafe right? huhu i loves Friends Tower. Im a coffee lover, but i love chocolate too
and tea and coke and... hehe too much huh?. Ok move on. I used to like friend's grill, but they had removed it from the menu. :( sad aje... The Takoyaki also not bad. A bit pricey tho.

Portuguese Settlement
- there's several shop there. But beware guys, once you step out from your car, there will be several of people will try to tarik korang to eat at their stall. As for me, i loves to eat at mama shop. Im not sure gerai no brape. The terung masak pedas sangat sedap; Its' Rm10 for big and RM8 for a small one. Might as well you order the big one. Betul tak? hehe. For Fish? I usually order Ikan Siakap or Jenahak masak Portuguese Style. Yummy~ Butter Prawn dia pun sedap. Tapi agak mahal la. Make sure you have at least RM50 when you want to eat here.

Asam Pedas Bachang
- My boyfriend likes to eat their roti canai with kuah asam pedas. Currently, this is the best asam pedas place to eat ( utk malam ) if compared to Hajah Mona and Kota Laksamana.

Umbai
- Ok, i prefer the new Umbai. Why? because i dont have to pay for the parking :D. hehheh plus, the place is much more appropriate. Gerai no 14 sedap. and second last pun sedap. Muara pun ok. Hehe tapi paling best is the lempeng pisang which kedai no 2 paling awal korang akan nampak.

Someone ate a bowl of FTP this morning!

Here's the story...

I was supposed to submit the website assignment (html webpage) yesterday evening. Its for PCA. Okay, doing a website. How hard can it be right? You just open dreamweaver (which currently im using) click here and there and voila! There's your website rite?

But here's the thing; I'm not familiar with dreamweaver! I'm a noob okay? Bukannye tiap2 ari buat website.

So I spent the night downloading all the softwares. Kudos to rapidshare; i dont have to be worry where to find the resources. and thanks to my rajapati for the account :D

Buat punye buat.... 3 hours later, i still stared blankly at the screen and then i realised; dem, i need help!

I called my frens, they still doing it. Dont want to bother them. I downloaded the tutorial for dreamweaver.
I selftaught myself! lol. Anyway, buat punye buat i still had 90% more to do. Dem! I cannot go to the MMU acoustic night tonight!which ive been dying giler nak pegi sebab azhan will perform. Man, that guy has talent. Tapi banyak lagi tak siap beb. I'd even bought the ticket!.. So....terpaksa la cancel.

Sad aje....

That night pun betungkus lumus la nak siapkan the assignment. 20% beb... banyak tuh. Tengok jam it's already 7a.m. Mata dah ngantok. Phew~ Im taking a nap la... well at least that is what i thought. 5 mins later, zZzzZZZzzz~
When i woke up, it's already 11a.m. Dem!.. cepat2 duduk depan pc balik. At around 2.30pm, bergegas ke campus.
Went to the lab at 4th floor, ACR building. Phew~ ramai org nak submit. ade a few of them yang tengah buat.
So i sat comfortably as im trying to transfer the file. Ok... i open my folder. and guess what?? ITS EMPTY!! wtf???
Stupid piqa! So i had to went back and copy again the file. So, i look again for my files.... but there is no sight of them! shit! i searched for the files... x jumpe jugak. then cari kat temp doc. alhamdulillah, nasib baik ade. i was about to cry ok? Pegi balik lab nak transfer... pastu that stupid FTP plak buat hal. I'd transferred. But i wont open my webpage. bodo. Gile bengang ok... all the efforts. I called Abut to help me out. Nasib baik la, he's willing to help. :D. A few mins later, i did managed to open the webpage, but only my index. ok la... daripada tak de langsung kan? While waiting for my frens, try la nak betulkan... tapi abg tuh dah nak tutup lab plak. Chet~ so balik la rumah.Acap n Bear pun x leh nak transfer. :(

All to sum up~ computer can be confusing sometimes (it's bcoz i didnt master them :P)

Way to Go A Capella!

A week ago i was surprised by a Capella. Their music & movements arrangement. I wonder why a Capella doesn't get much credit here. Maybe we should form a Capella club in MMU ;). Ill be the first few group to register. This is among my favorites a Capella. they perform in ICCA 2007. they're not the winner though.

Shame on you if you fool me once, shame on me if you fool me twice.

What did you do me wrong? I wish i could answer that. I have my own reasons why I cant tell you and I am not accusing you of anything. I'm just asking, and you answered. Thank you for that. It is not about her. You don't have to be worry. Sorry if i caused you any trouble, but at least i know what i need to know. It is not a fun fair.

Yesterday was my last special lunch with Hisyam at TGIF. That was supposed to be my last superrrrrrr meal ; well at least until I can fit my newly blouse. And currently I'm dreaming of wearing it. Sigh.
I'm going to be a veggie for the whole week baby! No more rice,breads & delicious yummy food.
I'll post the result :).
